Green Cleaning - Green Deal
Ecological and CO2-saving tank cleaning
When cleaning transport containers, this must be done taking into account the use of energy - CO2 saving - and the necessary technologies must be used for this. Climate change and environmental degradation are an existential threat to Europe and the world. To meet these challenges, the European "Green Deal" will transform the EU into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy.
The European Commission has adopted a series of proposals to make the EU's climate, energy, transport and tax policies fit - with the aim of reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.
The process of cleaning transport containers has several links to the objectives of the "Green Deal". On the one hand, the cleaning of food transport containers is part of the "farm-to-fork" strategy, which is about sustainable and healthy food systems. On the other hand, in the future, cleaning stations will have to design their technologies for generating energy for hot water, steam and electric drives in such a way that they use cleaner energy and the latest technological innovations.
ENFIT makes a significant contribution to this together with its members and the new GREEN CLEANING certification. Technological optimization of energy generation in combination with the use of the quality and energy-optimized ENFIT cleaning programs. This creates the right balance between the required quality and the necessary energy consumption.
